Günter Reichelt
Entrepreneur by conviction. Free thinker. Practical philosopher. Author.
Günter Reichelt is the founder and chairman of the board of Transpareo AG in Zug. He learned his trade from the ground up, starting in 1965 as a commercial apprentice in industry, the route most serious entrepreneurs of his generation took. He has run his own businesses since 1977.
Six decades of working life. Five decades in business. In that time, technology has travelled from the first electric calculating machine to agentic AI systems.
Nobody stays successful over a stretch like that without understanding each of those technologies early and putting it to commercial use. That is what this site is about.
How he works
Four steps, repeated since 1965.
- Observe. Recognise a problem before anyone is discussing it.
- Decide against the consensus. When the prevailing view does not survive scrutiny, the matter itself decides.
- Build it yourself. A concept nobody builds is an opinion.
- Carry the consequences. Whoever decides is liable: personally, with their own assets.
That is his understanding of practical philosophy. Not reflection about action, but thinking that arises in action and is tested there.
